The Hull Foundation in 2018 furthered its commitment to advancing human potential, through gifts totaling $89,000 distributed to like-minded charities.
This included $22,000 to the Eve Branson Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping rural communities in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. In recent years, the Hull Foundation has contributed over $100,000 to help fund core programs, including craft centers which provide training and job opportunities for local young people.
The Hull Foundation also distributed $31,000 to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Through this, the Hull Foundation supports people affected by the AIDS epidemic and is committed to finding ways to prevent, treat and end AIDS.
The Hull Foundation also donated $10,000 continuing its support to UnBoundRVA, an organization that takes an entrepreneurial approach by leading business-inspired individuals from low-income communities in Richmond, Va., out of socioeconomic barriers and into entrepreneurship. The Hull Foundation in 2014 was the first foundation to invest in UnBoundRVA and to-date has given $60,000 to the organization’s efforts to advance local entrepreneurism.
Other organizations supported by the Hull Foundation in 2018 include Runway2Life, supporting individuals struggling with mental illness; Boys Home of Virginia, helping boys to realize their potential and become productive members of society; McShin Foundation, helping those in their fight against substance abuse; and Children’s Home Society of Virginia’s Possibilities Project, supporting young people who have aged-out of the foster care system.

Established in 2009, the Hull Foundation builds upon founder Pat Hull’s entrepreneurial beliefs and has generously distributed to various charitable causes and organizations, including Richmond Unite, UnBoundRVA, Virgin Unite, Elton John Aids Foundation, Eve Branson Foundation, Boys Home of Virginia and many more. In 2018, Hull established the Hull Foundation Endowed Scholarship at VCU Brandcenter, the school’s first entrepreneurism scholarship awarded annually to a student with interest in entrepreneurship.
